Peking Opera Blues
Synopsis
Peking Opera Blues portrays the ambitions of three women during nineteenth century China. Tsao Wan (Brigitte Lin Ching Hsia) wants political change, in defiance of her father, a powerful war lord. Sheung Heung (Cherie Chung) is a musician who wants to steal a box of jewelry, while Pak Neil (Sally Yeh) is an aspiring actress who dreams of performing in the all-male Peking Opera of her father. With a serious underlying theme about the Chinese political landscape, plots interweave in this fast-paced dramedy.

Synopsis
Uncle Dumb, a scrap collector finds an abandoned girl, Ah Mei, one day. He decides to raise her and Ah Mei is brought up to the tune that Uncle Dumb plays. He eventually passes away and Ah Mei can only take out all her sorrow in the tune that is composed into a song...
