Scorpio East Holdings Ltd (“Scorpio East” or “the Group”) is one of the leading distributors of video entertainment programmes in Singapore. Its products comprise dramas and movies, covering a wide range of genres. These video entertainment programmes are acquired from major licensors such as TVB, CCTV and MediaCorp Studios. With a video distribution contract with Buena Vista Home Entertainment Inc, the Group has recently begun distributing products under its labels Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures.

Via an extensive video distribution network across Singapore, the Group distributes its TVB products via over 160 retail outlets run by its independent sub-licensees and resellers (TS Group and Poh Kim). In addition, the Group’s other products can also be found in chain stores of Popular Holdings Limited, Sembawang Music Holdings Limited, HMV Singapore Pte Ltd, as well as supermarkets such as Carrefour Singapore Pte Ltd.

Scorpio East has also diversified its business activities and had recently participated in content production as well as the replication of VCDs and DVDs. With an experienced management team and strong order books, the Group plans to further expand its stable of distribution rights to cover other rights such as television broadcast, cable, and cinematic rights. Regional expansion via joint ventures or alliances is also part of the Group’s plans, should the opportunities arise.
